Panama vs Tajikistan

Tashkent, Sept 22 (PL) Panama's men's national team defeated Tajikistan 8-3 today in the World Futsal Championship of Uzbekistan 2024, although it was not enough to advance to the next round.

At the Universal Sports Complex in the Uzbek city of Bukhara, the Canaleros got goals from Abdiel Castrellón (38th and 39th minutes), José Caballero (38th and 39th), Alfonso Maquensi (31st), Ruman Milord (20th) and Mario Forero (14th), and an own goal from Dilshod Salomov (9th).

However, the victory was not enough to keep them in the competition as one of the best third-placed teams, because other teams finished with a better goal difference.

In the other match of this section, Portugal defeated Morocco 4-1 to secure their place in the round of 16 as first.

Later in the day, the matches France-Iran and Venezuela-Guatemala, corresponding to key F, will complete the day's matches.
