Mbappé

Havana, Sept 25 (RHC) - Real Madrid's Frenchman Kylian Mbappé will not play in the derby against Atlético after suffering “an injury in the biceps femoris of the left leg” that will keep him out of the field for three weeks.

Mbappé, who left the field against Alaves on his own initiative after feeling loaded in the hamstring, has undergone tests that have confirmed the injury.

The Frenchman informed Ancelotti of the discomfort and was replaced in the 79th minute by Arda Guler, after a good game from the Frenchman, who scored Madrid's second goal after a one-two with Jude Bellingham.

It is given the circumstance that Kylian has not rested yet all season, participating in all Real Madrid's matches and in one with France. Mbappé has been a starter in all nine games and despite the fact that against Alavés everything pointed to him leaving his place to Endrick, Ancelotti decided to field him from the start against the Vitorianos. Even Vinicius had rotated the previous Saturday, but Kylian has not yet been rested this season.

Of the 810 minutes he could play for Real Madrid, Mbappé has played 783. Although there was optimism at the club and the Frenchman was expected to be in the starting lineup for Sunday's derby, tests have ruled him out due to this untimely femoral biceps injury.

The Frenchman had played a good game against Alaves and Ancelotti himself had praised him in the press room: “He was very good, he and the whole team. We played very well and we are improving as the games go by. We are doing well and we want to continue like this ahead of a match on Sunday that will be very demanding.”
