Rúben Amorim, Manchester United's new coach
London, Oct 29 (PL) Portuguese coach Rúben Amorim will be the new manager of English club Manchester United after the dismissal the day before of Erik Ten Hag.
According to local media today, Manchester United will pay Sporting de Portugal, Amorim's current club, a total of 10 million euros to acquire the coach's services.
With Sporting, Amorim has two Portuguese leagues under his belt, the last one won in the 2023-2024 season, and in the current league season he has won all 9 games played, with 30 goals scored and only two conceded.
In the Champions League, Sporting is also at the top of the table with two wins and a draw, results that endorse his choice as manager of one of the fair teams in European soccer.
Manchester United sacked Ten Hag after a series of poor results, the latest of which was a 1-2 defeat against West Ham in the Premier League.
