United Tates won the Bronze in Premier 12 tournament
Tokyo, Nov 24 (PL) The United States defeated Venezuela 6-1 today on the grass of the Tokyo Dome and won the bronze medal of the III Premier 12 baseball tournament, attended by the world's top-ranked countries.
The Americans, winners of the silver medal in the first edition in 2015, had defeated their rivals the day before in the last game of the super round, after falling in their group stage duel.
In Sunday's game, they scored a pair of runs in the third episode with no hits to take a lead that they defended until the end.
Starter Mario Sanchez lost his lookout by conceding three tickets and allowing a sacrifice fly by Carson Williams and his replacement Oddanier Mosqueda walked a batter and hit another with the angles full.
