Artemisa comes from behind to win the Baseball5 Cup title

Havana, Jan 13 (JIT) - The Artemisa team came from behind to beat Havana 2-1. It was proclaimed champion of the II Heroes de la Trocha Baseball5 Cup, held in the municipality of Venezuela, Cuba.

The Havana team won the first set (12x11), but Artemisa's reaction was not long in coming. They evened the match with a 7x4 score in the second set, and in the decisive tiebreaker set, they won 5x4.

Adding up the three sets, the Artemiseños hit a whopping 50 hits, while the Havana team hit 37.

The Cazadores of Venezuela beat Santiago de Cuba 2-1 for the bronze medal.

Artemisa's Haila González and Jadier Ulloa contributed the best individual results of the entire competition, a performance that earned them the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in both genders.

Regarding the Heroes de la Trocha Cup, the president of Inder, Osvaldo Vento Montiller, wrote in his social network account X: “Example of perseverance and coordinated work in terms of the quality of an event enjoyed by its protagonists and the fans. Demonstration of what we can do when we join efforts. Congratulations!”.
