Guatemala, Feb 9 (PL) Guatemala took another step in the possible successful celebration of the XIII Central American Games, scheduled for October 18 to 30, by defining the 38 sports and the venues.

Through its profile on the social network X, the local Olympic Committee underlined that such a decision took place during the Assembly held at the Palacio de los Deportes.

The authorities involved highlighted that the preparations for the competition are progressing according to schedule and that the country is ready to receive the best exponents of each discipline in the region.

The National Chess Federation will host the chess events, and the aquatic events will take place in the swimming pool of the capital's zone 4, the one of Mazatenango, head of the department of Suchitepéquez, and the Petén Itzá lake (also for canoeing and rowing).
