Havana, Feb 13 (ACN) - Cuba's U-17 men's national team closed with six goals against the U.S. Virgin Islands, winning 3-6 in a Concacaf World Cup qualifier.

The match, played in San José, Costa Rica, consolidated the Cuban team's place in Group F and kept it in the race to qualify for the 2025 World Cup in Qatar.

Cuba will face the United States on Saturday, February 15 in a match that will define the leader of Group F and, with it, the direct pass to the U-17 World Cup.

Undefeated in the category for decades, the Americans arrive after defeating St. Kitts and Nevis and thrashing the Virgin Islands with a historic record of 22 goals to zero.

Cuba has only qualified for two U-17 World Cups (1989 and 1991), while the United States has never failed to qualify.
