Barcelona vs Las Palmas

Spain, Feb 23 (PL) Barcelona retook the top spot in the Spanish soccer league after beating Las Palmas 2-0 on matchday 25.

A goal by Dani Olmo in the 62nd minute, who came on in the second half, reassured the azulgrana team, and in stoppage time Ferran Torres (90+5) scored a beautiful goal to certify the Catalan victory.

With this success, Barça reached 54 points and relegated Atletico Madrid to the provisional second position, winner before Valencia (18th in the standings) by 3-0 to reach 53 points.

For the Colchoneros, Argentine Julián Álvarez scored a brace (12th and 30th minutes) and Ángel Correa scored the other goal (86th).

In the other matches of the day, Villarreal defeated Rayo Vallecano 1-0 with a goal by Ayoze Pérez (66th minute), and Espanyol beat Alavés 1-0 thanks to a goal by Fernando Calero (86th minute).
