Cuba obtained eight berths in continental rowing qualifiers

Havana, Mar 23 (JIT) - Cuba achieved eight quotas in the continental rowing qualifier for the Asuncion 2025 Pan American Junior Games.

Angel Luis Garcia, president of the Cuban Rowing Federation, reported from Asuncion, Paraguay, that the Cubans won tickets in the men's 1X (single scull), 2X (double scull), 2- (two coxless), 4X (four sculls) and 4- (four coxless) and for girls in 1X (single scull), 2X (double scull) and 4X (four sculls).

Garcia pointed out that the women's 2X (two coxless) and 4X (four coxless) did not qualify.

In spite of this, the performance of the Cuban rowers met the expectations in the waters of Asunción Bay.

Cuba attended this event with a team composed of seven men and eight women, who undoubtedly showed an outstanding performance in the competition that began on the 18th.

The event, attended by competitors from 18 nations, ends this Sunday without the presence of Cubans.

The Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games will be held from August 9 to 23.
