Guatemala to the Gold Cup CONCACAF 2025
Guatemala City, Mar 26 (RHC) Guatemala came from behind against Guyana, fulfilled its obligations before its fans and will play in the Gold Cup, from June 14 to July 6 in Canada and the United States.
In a tight match in which Guyana was superior at times, the blue and white team showed pride and managed to turn around the scoreboard from the first leg in Barbados (2-3).
This will be Guatemala's third consecutive participation in the Gold Cup, after competing in the 2021 and 2023 editions.
In the last edition, the national team reached the quarterfinals, where it lost to Jamaica in a hard-fought match.
Now, with a more consolidated squad, the Chapín eleven will be looking to improve on that performance and aspire to higher levels.
Before the Gold Cup, on June 6, the team from the land of the quetzal will play against the Dominican Republic and four days later against Jamaica in the continuation of the World Cup qualifiers, in which they are in the lead.
