Havana, September 16 (RHC)-- Cuba participated over the weekend in the 35th Espace Collectivités professional trade show, in France, with a stand promoting the country's economic and cultural potential.
In statements to the press upon visiting the Cuban stand, French Secretary of State for Foreign Trade and Tourism, Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, highlighted the friendship that links both countries and the common defense of values, such as dignity and sovereignty.
The French official expressed his country’s position against unilateral, extraterritorial sanctions –this in reference to Washington’s nearly six-decade-old blockade policy towards Cuba. Instead, he renewed France’s determination to boost mutually beneficial bilateral ties with the Caribbean state.
Cuban ambassador to the European nation, Elio Rodriguez, voiced Cuba’s determination to further strengthen bilateral ties at all levels with France, which is currently among Cuba’s top 10 trading partners.
