Washington, November 7 (RHC)-- U.S. film director Oliver Stone is warning that Hillary Clinton is at least as dangerous as Donald Trump. Stone said that Clinton has demonstrated her interventionist tendencies over the years through her policy in Libya and her support for the 2003 Iraq invasion.
In an interview on Sunday with the French media outlet Le Temps, the renowned director said: “Trump is crazy. He says one thing and another thing the next day. Yes, he is dangerous -- but why do they think Hillary Clinton is less dangerous?”
Oliver Stone recalled that Clinton supported the bombing of Libya and the movement of the contras in Nicaragua and also offended Russian President Vladimir Putin by comparing him to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
When asked what Trump’s presidency would look like, Stone said he doubted that the real estate billionaire would win the elections and said the U.S. better start worrying about the future under Hillary Clinton’s leadership.
As for the Barack Obama presidency, the filmmaker slammed the president over the level of total surveillance which has increased compared since the George W. Bush era. Stone also said that Obama’s hostility towards Russia was short-sighted. “They present it him as a peacemaker; he is not. But Hillary is worse.”
Stone’s newest movie is called “Snowden” and it is about the life of Edward Snowden, the whistleblower who leaked millions of documents uncovering the National Security Agency’s metadata surveillance.
