Washington, November 28 (PL-RHC)-- The U.S.-based Foundation for the Normalization of U.S.-Cuba Relations (ForNorm) has expressed its condolences over the death of Revolution leader Fidel Castro.
ForNorm President Elena Freyre issued a communique, reiterating the organization's commitment to respecting Cuba's sovereignty and independence, the wellbeing of the Cuban people and their defense of just, fair causes around the world.
The text read: "Now, more than ever before, we, Cubans and all the organizations supporting our homeland, should take a step forward in defense of peace and the Cuban people's right to decide on their own future.
Members of the ForNorm Executive Committee extended their condolences to Fidel Castro's family, and to all Cubans, wherever they may be.
