Santiago de Chile, January 25 (RHC) -- Chile's president-elect Michelle Bachelet appointed 23 ministers on Friday, two weeks after she was officially declared the winner in recent presidential elections.
Bachelet, who led Chile from 2006 to 2010, announced the list of ministers at the Plaza San Francisco Hotel in Santiago.
The 23 new ministers include nine women and 14 men. Among them are Foreign Minister Heraldo Muñoz, Interior Minister Rodrigo Penailillo, Defense Minister Jorge Burgos, Finance Minister Alberto Arenas, Economy Minister Luis Felipe Cespedes and Education Minister Nicolas Eyzaguirre.
Bachelet is to be sworn in as Chilean President on March 11th.
