San Franciso, March 10 (RHC)-- A strong earthquake rocked the U.S. state of California on Monday. According to the U.S. Geological Service, the quake measured 6.9 on the Richter Scale.
The epicenter was located at a 10 kilometer depth, while the Tsunami Warning Center discarded any tsunami risk.
The tremor was followed by an aftershock of 4.6 at 77 kilometers from the city of Ferndale, California.
No victims or property damage has thus far been reported. The warning center issued a green alert meaning only 1 percent of possibilities for death or considerable material damage.
