Port of Spain, December 3 (RHC) -- CARICOM heads of government will be attending a special two-day meeting in Port of Spain, Trinidad, from December 3to 4 to discuss the implementation of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME).
The meeting will be chaired by Prime Minister Andrew Holness of Jamaica as the current chair of CARICOM.
Heads of government will be examining how the CSME can contribute to trade and development in an uncertain global environment where budding trade wars, Brexit, and threats to multilateral trading systems all have implications for the regional bloc.
Among other issues participants will address external trade, ways to develop a regional trade agenda/strategy, as well as policy framework and infrastructure to support regional and international trade.
