Washington, January 10 (RHC)-- In the United States, with the partial government shutdown now in its 20th day, President Donald Trump reportedly stormed out of a meeting with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer Wednesday after they refused to back a deal to fund a wall on the southern border.
In a tweet, Trump called the meeting “a total waste of time,” adding: “I asked what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up, are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or Steel Barrier? Nancy said, NO. I said bye-bye, nothing else works!”
Senator Schumer accused the president of throwing a “temper tantrum.” He said that Trump just walked out of the meeting because he couldn't get his way.
