Caracas, March 24 (RHC) -- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has appealed to intellectuals, artists, writers and journalists to help the government's efforts to tell the truth about what is happening in Venezuela.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the 10th International Book Fair of Venezuela, Maduro called for denunciation of the barbaric acts committed by right-wing groups, including the attempted burning of education centers, and the worldwide smear campaign spearheaded by the U.S. and pro-imperialist media.
Maduro also denounced the dangerous extremist tendencies of certain Venezuelan minorities, that have even adopted fascist symbols. And he vowed that the Bolivarian government will lauch a campaign to expose such realities at all international organizations and forums.
Meanwhile, three people have died from gunshot wounds during an anti-government demonstration in Venezuela, pushing the death toll from almost two months of political unrest to 34.
