Caracas, April 19 (RHC)-- President Nicolas Maduro has firmly rejected another set of illegal sanctions announced by U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton.  The new measures are targetting the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).

"The Central Bank of Venezuela will face and overcome with dignity the sanctions that the U.S. seeks to impose on our monetary institution," the president said while carrying out an inspection of a food packaging center for CLAP, located in Fuerte Tiuna, just outside of Caracas.

The Venezuelan president emphasized that in the face of the imperialist aggression against Venezuela, it is up to us to work, and work hard, love to build a homeland.  Venezuela will win!"

John Bolton announced on Wednesday from Miami, new unilateral and coercive sanctions against the Central Bank of Venezuela and the Corporate Bank of Nicaragua.

Also on Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry of Venezuela condemned the measures being taken against the Central Bank for being arbitrary, illegal and unilateral.
