Kabul, April 24 (RHC)-- A shooting at a hospital in the Afghan capital of Kabul has killed three U.S. doctors. The shooter is said to be an Afghan security guard who worked at the facility. Two others were reportedly wounded.
A spokesperson for the Afghan Interior Ministry announced the attack, saying that the police have arrested the attacker and the incident is under investigation.
The hospital in the Afghan capital is reportedly run by CURE International, a U.S.-based Christian group.
The prolonged presence of foreign military forces in Afghanistan and the civilian casualties caused by them have fueled anti-U.S. sentiments in the country. A large number of Afghan civilians, including many women and children, have been killed during night raids by U.S.-led forces as well as CIA-run killer drone strikes.
