Atlanta, April 2 (RHC)-- In the U.S., the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention -- based in Atlanta, Georgia -- is reconsidering its advisory that people should not wear masks.  The CDC previously gave that advice, apparently aimed at preventing a run on personal protective equipment, which is already in short supply.

In response, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti has now urged all residents to use nonmedical-grade masks or facial coverings while in public.
