Washington, July 17 (RHC)-- The White House is distancing itself from President Trump’s senior trade adviser Peter Navarro, who accused top U.S. infectious disease expert Dr. Anthony Fauci of being “wrong about everything” related to the pandemic.

A White House statement claimed Navarro “didn’t go through normal White House clearance processes” before publishing the criticisms in a USA Today op-ed.

Speaking to an online healthcare summit, Dr. Fauci called on U.S. officials to “stop this nonsense” and get back to the work of fighting the pandemic.  Dr. Anthony Fauci said: “I think they realize now that that was not a prudent thing to do, because it’s only reflecting negatively on them.  I can’t explain Peter Navarro.  He’s in a world by himself, so I don’t even want to go there.”

Last weekend, the White House attempted to discredit Dr. Fauci by distributing a document likened to an opposition research paper.
