Los Angeles, July 23 (RHC)-- In the U.S. state of California, Los Angeles is on the brink of shutting down again as coronavirus cases continue to soar. This comes as California has overtaken New York as the state with the most coronavirus cases with just over 409,000 confirmed cases. The death toll in New York, however, is four times higher than in California.
On Tuesday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention revealed the actual number of coronavirus infections nationwide may be 24 times higher than the public count. This comes as the Trump administration is opposing more federal funding for COVID-19 testing. The White House has refused to spend up to $8 billion already allocated for testing even though many states and cities face severe testing shortages.
