Caracas, December 7 (RHC)-- The President of the National Electoral Council (CNE) of Venezuela, Indira Alfonzo, presented the second report of figures of the parliamentary elections in Venezuela held this Sunday.
Alfonzo reported that 98.63 percent of the votes counted were transmitted and that 30.6 percent of the registered voters participated, which already amounts to six million 251,080 valid votes obtained in the elections.
The president of the CNE also communicated the figures related to the distribution of votes by political parties, where the Great Patriotic Pole has obtained 4 million 277,926 votes for a total of 68.43 percent.
For its part, the alliance formed by Acción Democrática, Comité de Organización Política Electoral Independiente, Cambiemos Movimiento Ciudadano Avanzada Progresista y el Cambio has 1,950,170 votes for 17.52 percent.
In turn, the political front Venezuela Unida formed by Primero Venezuela and Voluntad Popular has obtained 259,450 votes which is equivalent to 4.15 percent, the Communist Party of Venezuela accumulates 168,743 votes for a 2.7 percent. Other political organizations that participated in the elections have obtained 405,017 votes that correspond to 6.48 percent.
Indira Alfonzo reported that during the elections, 1,600 national overseers participated -- more than 200 international invited experts -- who accompanied all the stages of the electoral process. Their recommendations and suggestions will be discussed within the CNE board of directors.
She insisted that such recommendations and suggestions will help strengthen Venezuelan democracy. She also recalled that this December 6, 274 deputies were elected to the National Assembly for the period of 2021-2026.
