Bogota, December 28 (RHC)-- The Revolutionary Alternative Force of the Common (FARC) party on Sunday denounced the murders of two other former members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - People's Army (FARC), with the former combatants 248 and 249 killed since the signing of the Peace Accords in 2016.
Rosa Amalia Mendoza Trujillo, 25, was killed on Saturday in the municipality of Montecristo, in the department of Bolivar, in the Caribbean region of Colombia. And Manuel Alonso was found dead in Miranda, in the southwestern department of Cauca.
The FARC party, on its Twitter account, said that Manuel Alonso, 55 years old and known during the rebel war as Romel or Carmelo, was found dead in the municipality of Miranda, in Cauca.
"With this we complete the pitiful figure of 248 extinguished dreams of peace. The enemies of peace do not rest. Our sincere condolences," expressed the opposition political collective.
In another tweet, the FARC party indicated that "yesterday (Saturday) they murdered Rosa Mendoza (Karen Palmera), an indigenous peace signer."
"Founding member of ASOVISBOL Association of Agricultural and Environmental Housing of Southern Bolivar. Victim of the massacre in the Honda ravine, Montecristo, Bolivar, together with four people from a family. QEPD (Rest in Peace)."
