Caracas, February 22 (RHC)-- The education ministers of the member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) held a meeting on Monday to outline educational strategies in the midst of the pandemic.

According to a message on the organization's official Twitter account, the objective of the virtual meeting was to define actions to guarantee the right to education of children and young people in times of COVID.

The meeting is also part of the set of actions carried out by ALBA-TCP to guarantee the implementation of social and economic programs, and to jointly face the challenges posed by the health crisis the world is going through.

Last week, the high authorities of the agricultural sector of the member countries met in a special meeting, where the president of that organization, Sacha Llorenti, indicated that the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic obliges the nations of the bloc to promote joint actions to overcome the situation.

Llorenti stressed the importance of exchanging successful experiences and learning about family farming issues, as well as low-cost techniques and technologies to achieve productive yields.
