Caracas, March 28 (RHC)-- Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez expressed her appreciation on behalf of Venezuela for the efforts of the World Health Organization (WHO) to distribute vaccines against COVID-19 through the COVAX mechanism, which will add to the vaccination process developed by the Bolivarian Government.

Delcy Rodríguez acknowledged the important role played by the Director General of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and the Director of the Pan American Health Organization, Carissa F. Etienne, in the fight against this pandemic and for the survival of humanity.

"We want to thank him (Tedros Adhanom) because we know that this humble man at the head of this world organization is fighting a great battle for the whole of humanity, for the peoples of the world," Delcy Rodriguez added.

At a press conference in Caracas, the Venezuelan vice president said: "we have held a meeting with WHO representatives on the vaccination process against COVID-19 and the clinical trials of possible treatments against the disease that are being carried out in the country."
