Quito, June 10 (PL-RHC) -- Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño is in Caracas, the Venezuelan capital, for a meeting of the Political Committee of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA), during which he will express interest in knowing more about the nationwide Government-opposition peace dialogue in Venezuela.
Patiño said that the ALBA meeting will discuss issues including reinforcement of institutionality and actions to strengthen commercial, economic and productive complementary relations among member countries.
He added that participants will discuss topics related to the ALBA-Petricaribe economic zone, as well as several political issues. They will also discuss with Venezuelan authorities topics related to the Government-opposition peace talks and ways to continue to strengthen it, he said.
In Patiño's opinion, this dialogue must continue in spite of difficulties that may arise during the process.
