Couple charged with brandishing weapons at Black Lives Matter protesters forced to surrender guns
St. Louis, June 18 (RHC)-- Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the St. Louis, Missouri couple filmed brandishing an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle and a handgun at Black protesters that walked past their mansion last year, have agreed to pay fines and forfeit their weapons.
On Thursday, Patricia McCloskey pleaded guilty to misdemeanor harassment and was given the maximum fine of $2,000. Her husband Mark pleaded guilty to misdemeanor fourth-degree assault and accepted the $750 fine. The handgun and the AR-15 rifle that were seized from them will be destroyed, local media reported.
The McCloskeys became internet-famous in late June 2020, when they were filmed pointing their weapons at peaceful protesters with the Black Lives Matter movement who were marching past their mansion.
