Caracas, August 4 (RHC)-- Venezuelan Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza has strongly rejected attempts by the Organization of American States (OAS) to interfere in Venezuela's internal affairs, in line with the interventionist and meddling policy of the United States against the South American country.

Through a message on Twitter, the Venezuelan foreign minister dismissed the approaches of a panel of OAS experts who ask the International Criminal Court to open an investigation for alleged crimes against humanity committed in his country.  "The OAS, under the leadership of its current 'General Hitman' (Secretary General Luis Almagro), has plenty of experts in coups d'état, invasions, interference, promotion of conflict, submission to Washington and multilateral corruption," said Jorge Arreaza on the social network.

The Venezuelan government recently reiterated the willingness to build new steps for an effective dialogue with the International Criminal Court, as part of the cooperation established in the framework of the preliminary examination carried out by that body to the South American nation.

"The Public Prosecutor's Office aspires in the framework of the effective cooperation required by the Preliminary Chamber of the ICC and also shown by Prosecutor Karim Khan: new steps towards a constructive and effective dialogue," Attorney General Tarek William Saab said in a statement.

The official denounced on several occasions that the international Court has not given answers to Venezuela regarding the information on human rights submitted by the country for the preliminary examination being carried out by that body.
