The statements were made in the context of the Bolivarian government's search for political stability

Caracas, October 10 (RHC)-- The Venezuelan National Electoral Council (CNE) rejected this Saturday the statements made by the head of the European diplomacy, Joseph Borrell, and highlighted that he violated the agreement signed with the European Union (EU) Electoral Observation Mission.

"The electoral power denounces the interfering attitude of the statements issued" by the high official, said the communiqué made public by the CNE in complaint against Borrell's statements.

The statement underlines the seriousness of the words of the high official when he mentioned that the Mission will arrive in Venezuela to "accompany a political bias" and that its report would be in charge of "legitimizing or delegitimizing" the Venezuelan Government.

The Bolivarian electoral entity recalled that Borrell himself was one of those in charge of accepting the conformation of the commission that is already preparing to be installed in the Latin American country.

Borrell's statements, according to the text, "disregards the rights of the Venezuelan nation, especially sovereignty, freedom and self-determination" and likewise, it continued, "represent a violation of the agreement" signed between the Venezuela and the EU delegation.

The CNE reminded the official of the Old Continent that the Latin American country is going through an important moment where the political stabilization of the country is being sought in a legitimate and democratic manner, and therefore, for the optimum exercise of this process, the presence of international entities to accompany the elections of November 21st has been accepted.

The electoral observation, stressed the CNE, "derives from the constitutional and legal competencies of the Electoral Power in strict compliance with the principles of self-determination, sovereignty, self-determination and independence of the Venezuelan State."

Finally, the document ratified the will of the Government of the Latin American country to comply with the constitutional norms and asserted that the legitimacy of the process is given by the Venezuelans who will participate in it without accepting any foreign interference whatsoever.
