Santiago de Chile, December 22 (RHC)-- The president-elect of Chile, Gabriel Boric, paid a visit on Tuesday to the Constitutional Convention to meet with the board of directors chaired by Elisa Loncón and Jaime Bassa as part of the transition process towards the assumption of the new government next March.
Accompanied by Congresswoman Camila Vallejo and his advisor, Javiera Cabello, President-elect Boric arrived at the Congress headquarters in Santiago de Chile to hold a protocol meeting with the Convention's board of directors, as he had announced.
According to local media reports, Boric met behind closed doors with the directors. The meeting was highlighted by Loncón on her Twitter account, who said: "The Constitutional Convention will continue walking steadily to materialize the dreams of Chile. Together we continue with more strength than ever."
Upon entering the former seat of the Chilean Congress, Boric gave a strong hug to Loncon, who during the campaign made explicit calls in favor of his candidacy.
