Buenos Aires, July 16 (Telam-RHC) -- Several investment projects will be discussed on Friday during Chinese President Xi Jinping´s visit to Buenos Aires, where he will be received by Argentinian President Cristina Fernández.
Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich said that Industry Minister, Debora Giorgi and her Chinese counterpart, Su Bo, will analyze several investment projects that involve opportunities "equivalent to some US$ 50 billion in six sectors regarded as strategic".
Capitanich explained that since 2009 favorable conditions have developed for the financing of several enterprises, from infrastructure to programs of citizenship safety ".
President Cristina flew to Brasilia to attend the first summit between heads of state of the BRICS countries and UNASUR, in their first official political contact on Wednesday.
Capitanich said the President will refer to the Argentinian position regarding its sovereign debt and the vulture funds, before the joint meeting of heads of state of UNASUR and BRICS.
Asked about the possible incorporation of Argentina to BRICS, the Cabinet Chief replied that it does not just depend on the Argentine will, but on the agreement of all its present members.
Capitanich added that within BRICS "there is agreement for a world multipolar system, with more equity in the distribution of incomes at international level and equal conditions of access to financing for productive development and the promotion of employment in all the countries".
He also said that BRICS "is a strategic space of universal nature, and at the same time Argentina is a strategic reservoir on matters of mining, oil, non-conventional gas, food supply and technology from the nuclear activity to productive process."
