Beijing, Apr 16 (RHC) China objected and described as unreasonable the sanctions imposed by the United States on five other domestic companies under the argument of violating export controls to Russia.

The Ministry of Commerce said that Washington’s action is illegal, has no basis in international law, and has no authorization from the United Nations Security Council.

The Chinese institution argued that this is a unilateral measure and another example of ‘long-arm jurisdiction’ with serious damage to the interests and rights of the affected companies.

This entity also warned of the damage to the stability and security of the industrial supply chain, after demanding that the United States revoke the sanctions and stop harassing Chinese companies, or else it will face legitimate countermeasures.

The Ministry responded to the US Department of Commerce’s decision to blacklist Allparts Trading Co., Ltd; Avtex Semiconductor Limited; ETC Electronics Ltd; Maxtronic International Co, Ltd; and STK Electronics Co, Ltd.

The measure was approved last Wednesday and implies that the corporations will not be able to do business with U.S. corporations without first obtaining a special license.

According to the U.S., all five Chinese companies are suspects of activities contrary to the U:S national security and foreign policy interests, as well as of evading controls to procure military-use items made on its soil and then ship them to Russia.  (Source: Prensa Latina)
