Serbian president describes NATO as a threat to the country

Havana, April 21 (RHC) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić today described the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) as a threat to his country, TV Prva channel highlighted.

According to the Serbian leader, Western officials insist on offering Serbia to become a member of the military bloc and talk about the alleged Russian threat, but in reality it is the Atlantic alliance that constitutes a challenge to the security of his country.

Belgrade has followed a policy of military neutrality since 2007, when the National Assembly (Serbian Parliament) adopted a resolution to that effect, and in recent years the country has held joint exercises with both the Russian Federation and the alliance.

Furthermore, Vučić pointed out that Western countries had already annoyed him in the past with their endless annoying demands to join their sanctions against Russia. (Source: Prensa Latina)
