London, Apr 28 (RHC) The United Kingdom confirmed an agreement on the export to Poland of a British-made air defense system, estimated at 1.9 billion pounds sterling, approximately more than two billion euros.
According to information disclosed by the British government, the local company MBDA signed this Friday the agreement with Warsaw, under the commitment to deliver state-of-the-art air and ground protection capabilities.
London warned that this agreement will contribute to the security of Poles for generations and will create hundreds of jobs in the United Kingdom, thanks to this bilateral alliance, valued as one of the most significant within the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
According to experts, Poland is one of the leaders of the so-called “new Europe” bloc, with its eyes more on the United States and the island nation of northeastern Europe, rather than France or Germany, in guaranteeing its future and safeguarding it. (Source: Prensa Latina)
