Caracas, July 14 (RHC)-- Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro condemned on Thursday the attacks against the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), during the ceremony of the transfer of command of the Bolivarian Army, Bolivarian Navy, Bolivarian National Guard and Bolivarian Militia components, held in Caracas.
"There are agorist voices out there that are once again taking up the issue of destabilization, of sowing hatred, of intolerance of the attack on the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, of the attack on the Venezuelan military," the president stressed.
During his speech, Maduro lamented the recent loss of an air force pilot, whom he referred to as a martyr in the line of duty, a victim of attacks against the FANB. He also denounced that the aggressions on the part of the Southern Command intend to denigrate professionalism, commitment, discipline and Venezuelan military honor, as an expression of the contempt they feel for the FANB.
"That contempt comes from the SOUTHCOM, who, despite being born in Venezuela, reproduce in their minds the ideology and the hatreds and contempt of the empire. They are mere puppets, raising voices of hatred to divide, to harm," he stressed.
The Bolivarian leader urged to confront the voices of hate and called for the emergence of the voice of truth, union, cohesion, absolute discipline and honor of the Venezuelan military.
The Venezuelan president highlighted the new spirituality implied by the presence of the FANB, as a fundamental component of the country's identity, based on empathy, harmony and union between the people and the military. "That new value that is already marked in the national soul, is the value of the union and fusion of military power and popular power: the fusion of the power of the nation in the perfect and unique and extraordinary civil-military union of Venezuela," he expressed.
Nicolas Maduro also urged to defend Venezuela with honor and sacrifice, and announced that his Government, together with the people and the FANB, will overcome "the social wounds of the economic missiles that were launched by the U.S. empire."
