This mechanism has benefited more than 300,000 people.
The airline was also subject to sanction measures in 2020, during Donald Trump's presidency in the United States.
Conviasa's main international destinations include Brazil, Cuba, Nicaragua, Mexico, Russia, Iran and Syria. According to media reports, the company has a total of 28 domestic and 13 international routes.
