Havana, Sept 1 (RHC) The Ecuadorian police confirmed the explosion Thursday of a second car bomb in Quito, the capital, after a first incident of this nature was reported the day before in the center of the city.
"In Quito, another van-type vehicle with two LPG cylinders inside, would have exploded by the action of a slow fuse device," police authorities said on their social networks.
As a result, the explosion caused the destruction of the vehicle and damage to the exterior of the building of the National Service of Integral Attention to Adults Deprived of Liberty and Adolescent Offenders (SNAI), located on 12 de Octubre Avenue between Wilson and Foch.

The law enforcement agency added that no victims were registered, while stressing that investigative and operational work continues to capture the perpetrators.
Local media confirmed that the second explosion took place around 02H00 local time (07:00 GMT) when witnesses heard multiple explosions.
The sources said that drivers passing by the site recorded a video of the event, which shows the incineration of a van that had at least one gas tank. (Source: TeleSur)
