Tel Aviv, March 10 (RHC)-- An Israeli rabbi has called for the killing of the entire population in the Gaza Strip, including women, children, and the elderly, in remarks further proving the regime’s genocidal intent against Palestinians in the besieged territory.
During a conference on Friday, Eliyahu Mali, head of the Shirat Moshe religious school in the occupied city of Jaffa, said the mass killing of the people in Gaza “is permissible” based on halakha, or Jewish religious law.
“Do not spare any soul,” Mali noted, adding that it is the basic rule in the bloody Israeli aggression against Gaza. “There are no innocents; even an old man is capable of picking up a rifle and shooting… Little babies, too, no doubt,” the terror-preacher said.
He claimed that the “vandals” in today’s war are “the children of the previous war whom we kept alive.”
Merav Michaeli, leader of Israel’s opposition Labor Party, condemned the rabbi’s comments. “Using halakha does not give any rabbi permission to present Judaism or Israel as bloodthirsty and vengeful,” Michaeli wrote in an X post.
She also urged the Israeli military to “stop cooperating with the religious school (in Jaffa) until the rabbi is dismissed” and not to allow “such dangerous moral corruption within its ranks.” However, since the start of the genocidal war on Gaza, many Israeli officials have heated up their hate speech against Palestinians and called for their massacre.
In a case brought against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in January, South Africa highlighted declarations by Israeli officials inciting genocide in Gaza.
They included Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu referencing the biblical story of the total destruction of Amalek by the Israelites, minister of military affairs Yoav Gallan calling Gazans “human animals” and the so-called heritage minister Amichai Eliyahu threatening to use atomic bombs against Palestinians.
Israel waged its brutal U.S.-backed war of aggression on Gaza in October after the Palestinian Hamas resistance group carried out its historic operation against the occupying regime in retaliation for its intensified atrocities against the Palestinian people.
So far, the Tel Aviv regime has killed at least 30,960 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injured 72,524 others.
