Press release from Venezuela

Caracas, May 16 (RHC) Venezuela today expressed its deepest rejection of the new aggressions perpetrated by the U.S. government against the people and government of Nicaragua.

The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the U.S. administration imposed unilateral coercive measures against two mining companies operating in Nicaraguan territory, as well as against the Russian Ministry of the Interior's Training Center located in the city of Managua.

The Venezuelan Government denounced the permanent campaign of the United States and its Western allies seeking by all possible means to break the strong anti-imperialist and patriotic will of the Nicaraguan Government.

He stressed that this “defends the sacred right of its people to advance in peace and stability in the noble construction of a better, more just and humanitarian present”.

The Bolivarian Republic urged the international community to condemn these regressive and interfering actions that seek to harm the inalienable and sacred right to free economic activity and self-determination of the peoples.

Venezuela reiterated its message of solidarity and brotherhood with the heroic Sandinista people and its government. (Source:PL)
