Beirut, May 25 (RHC)-- Lebanon's Hezbollah and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq have conducted separate operations against Israeli military positions in the 1948 occupied territories in support of Palestinians amid the genocidal war on Gaza.

Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television reported that Hezbollah fighters launched a volley of shells at three buildings housing Israeli troops in the Even Menachem moshav in the Western Galilee and the projectiles struck the designated targets precisely.

The Lebanese resistance group also targeted a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the occupied territories, opposite the southern Lebanese village of Yaroun, with several missiles.

Moreover, Hezbollah staged an ambush on an Israeli Merkava battle tank, and hit it with an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) in Shtula Forest.  The missile destroyed the tank, and left its crew dead or injured.

The operations came after Hezbollah announced earlier the death of one of its fighters, identified as Mohammad Farran from Nabatiyeh city in southern Lebanon, in an Israeli drone strike.  The Israeli military said Farran was in charge of manufacturing strategic weapons belonging to Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah retaliated Farran's “assassination” and “the injuring and terrorizing of a number of school children” with dozens of Katyusha rockets fired on two command centers in the Illit base and Beit Hillel outpost.  It later targeted surveillance equipment in the Israeli Metula and al-Raheb posts.

Meanwhile, the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella group of anti-terror fighters, announced in a statement published on its Telegram channel that it had targeted vital Israeli sites.  The coalition launched a kamikaze drone toward targets in the port city of Haifa in the northwestern part of the occupied Palestinian territories.

The group said the retaliatory operation was part of the second phase of its operations against the Israeli regime, and in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza.  The Islamic Resistance in Iraq has been staging many such attacks on Israeli targets since the occupying regime launched a genocidal war on Gaza in early October.

Israel launched the war on Gaza on October 7th after Palestinian resistance groups carried out a surprise retaliatory operation into the occupied territories.

Concomitantly with the war, the regime has been enforcing a near-total siege on the coastal territory, which has reduced the flow of foodstuffs, medicine, electricity, and water into the Palestinian territory into a trickle.

The Israeli war has killed at least 35,800 Gazans, most of them women, children, and adolescents. Another 80,200 Palestinians have sustained injuries as well.   The Israeli military has also been carrying out attacks against the Lebanese territory since then, prompting retaliatory strikes from Hezbollah in support of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The movement has vowed to keep up its retaliatory operations as long as the Tel Aviv regime continues its onslaught on Gaza.
