Toronto, May 28 (RHC)-- In Canada, the University of Toronto has asked a court to authorize police action to arrest students who defied a deadline to dismantle their encampment.

Hundreds of tents have been put up during the weeks-long peaceful protest at the University of Toronto as students demand an end to the genocidal war of aggression against Gaza and the Palestinian people.

Protesters at the encampment, which was set up on May 2nd and supported by students and faculty, have called on the university to divest from companies investing in Israel or supporting the brutal offensive on Gaza.
