President of Venezuela announces new round of talks with the U.S. government

Caracas, July 2 (RHC)--  "I want a future for our relations under the absolute sovereignty and independence of Venezuela," said Nicolás Maduro.

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported this Monday on his program Con Maduro+ that talks with the Government of the United States will restart on Wednesday.

“I have received the proposal from the United States Government to reestablish talks and direct dialogue,” said Nicolás Maduro when accepting this proposal so that “they comply with the agreements signed in Qatar and to reestablish the terms of dialogue with respect and without manipulation.”

At the same time, the president affirmed that he is a man of dialogue and believes that through this Venezuela is respected and democracy upheld, and he is committed to these conversations being public.

In recognizing the mobilization of the Venezuelan people, Nicolás Maduro pointed out that he found in Sunday's "the faith of a people that they could not defeat neither with guarimbas, nor with sanctions, nor with threats, nor with hatred," the dignitary insisted, while He stressed that “they could not and will not be able to defeat the faith of our people.”

By betting on faith, Maduro said that we are achieving the great changes that Venezuela wants. “We do not promise, we have produced the changes that Venezuela needs. “We are not a promise, we are facts,” he said.

“We are writing a new history.  I see a greening of hope.  Hope is in the street.  This electoral campaign is going to be a campaign of justice, of peace, of truth,” he stated.
