Deir el-Balah, July 7 (RHC)-- Dead and wounded Palestinians swamp Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza, after an Israeli attack on the Nuseirat refugee camp killed 16 people and injured 75 others.  The attack comes as Israel’s war on Gaza enters its ninth month.

Meanwhile, Egypt is set to host delegations from Israel and the United States to discuss “outstanding issues” in a possible ceasefire agreement, Cairo’s Al Qahera TV announced, amid reports that Hamas has dropped a key demand for an upfront commitment from Israel for a complete end to the war.

Five Palestinian journalists were killed in Israeli attacks on Saturday, Gaza’s Government Media Office said, bringing the number of media workers killed since October 7 to at least 158.

At least 38,098 people have been killed and 87,705 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7. The death toll in Israel from the Hamas-led attacks is estimated at 1,139 with dozens of people still held captive in Gaza.
