Sanna, July 21 (RHC)-- The Houthi rebels of Yemen denounced this Saturday a “series of aerial bombardments” against the port city of Hudayda, in the Red Sea, from where they launch a large part of their attacks against Israeli ships or accused of ties with the Zionist state.

Isareli Army have confirmed to be the perpetrator of the attack on the fourth most populous city in Yemen, in response to a Houthi attack on the capital of the Jewish state Tel Aviv with drones and hundreds of attacks on boats in the Red Sea.

An Iranian-made Sammad-3 drone launched from Yemen reached Tel Aviv airspace near the US embassy early Friday morning, exploding in the air in the city center.

Press media report that the attack targeted fuel storage facilities at the port while many media reports say that Israel’s action was carried out with F-35 fighters.  Local sources say the attack leaved some people dead and wounded although any figure have been confirmed yet in the port city with close 500,000 inhabitants.

“This brutal aggression will only increase the determination, firmness and perseverance of the Yemeni people and its valiant armed forces in their support of Gaza,” wrote Mohammed Abdel Salam, spokesman for the Houthis, in a statement on Al-SalamMassirah TV, the movement’s channel.

The Shiite group has increased in recent weeks the frequency and intensity of these actions, while they have presented new weapons with which to ensure that they can achieve objectives in the Mediterranean, although so far, all attacks on that sea have been intercepted.
