United Nations, July 23 (RHC)-- Hamas has denounced Israel’s stepped-up attacks on civilian neighborhoods across the southern Gaza Strip, calling on international organizations to stop the war of extermination in the besieged territory.

In a statement, the Palestinian resistance movement said the international community and the United Nations must urgently intervene in that regard.  “We reiterate that our nation will remain steadfast and hold onto their lands.  Resistance fighters will remain committed to confronting the criminal Zionist enemy that seeks to expel our people and obliterate our national cause.”

Hamas said the determination of the people in Gaza is impenetrable and unbreakable.

The Palestinians of Gaza, Hamas said, will continue to stand up to the occupying regime until the full liberation of Palestinian territories, return of all Palestinian refugees and restoration of the legitimate right of Palestinians to self-determination.

Israel has killed over 39,000 Palestinians, most of them women, children, and adolescents, in Gaza since October.  The regime launched the campaign of death, destruction and genocide after it was caught off-guard by Operation Al-Aqsa Storm into the occupied territories.

Israel has been enforcing a near-total siege on the coastal territory, which has reduced into a trickle the flow of foodstuffs, medicine, electricity, and water into the Palestinian territory.
