Washington, July 24 (RHC)-- A U.S. federal judge has sentenced a January 6 rioter who performed a Nazi salute at the top of the Capitol steps to five years in prison and a $20,000 fine.

Tyler Dykes, a former U.S. Marine, also attended the infamous 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia.

During his sentencing hearing, Tyler said: “I stand with President Trump and support him to be the next president of our country.”

Trump has promised -- should he win the presidency in November -- to pardon all those convicted or awaiting trial in the infamous January 6, 2021 insurrection on Capitol Hill.
