United Nations, July 26 (RHC)-- UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has revealed that Israeli forces were responsible for firing on three of the UN’s aid convoys over three days in the Gaza Strip.
The attacks took place between Sunday and Tuesday, and bullets pierced UN vehicles on two occasions, Guterres said at a news conference at the UN headquarters in New York on Thursday. “They were shot by the Israeli military,” the UN chief said.
The UN said earlier this week that one attack was on a UN convoy carrying humanitarian workers and children near the Wadi Gaza checkpoint. No one was injured by the Israeli gunfire.
