La Paz, July 29 (RHC)-- The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) has issued a congratulatory statement on the occasion of the electoral victory of Nicolas Maduro in Venezuela.
The text reads:
The member states of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) congratulate the people and government of the sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for the unquestionable victory of President Nicolás Maduro Moros in the presidential elections this Sunday, July 28th.
With 51.20% of the votes, the victory of the Bolivarian Revolution is a demonstration of the solidity of the Venezuelan participatory and leading democracy, whose people, besieged by imperialist powers, have expressed their will in a civic and deeply patriotic manner in historic elections for peace and stability in the region and the entire world.
On this very special day, which marks the 70th anniversary of the birth of Commander Hugo Chávez Frías, Venezuela demonstrated its loyalty and commitment to 21st century Bolivarian Socialism, a historic project full of social justice, established and practiced equality and immense popular awareness. Venezuela ratifies the course it decided to take sovereignly in 1998 and which it has confirmed in 31 electoral processes, in peace and always by constitutional means.
During the last few years, President Nicolás Maduro Moros has demonstrated his status as a statesman and his ability to lead the country in the face of the fiercest onslaught of transnational powers, expressed through 930 coercive, extortionate and illegal measures, which sought to corner the Venezuelan economy and society, with the unspeakable goal of imposing Washington's will on Bolívar's homeland. The result of the presidential elections confirms the anti-imperialist and anti-colonialist will of the Venezuelan people, embodied in its President People.
The Bolivarian Alliance celebrates this victory with great joy, congratulates the Venezuelan people and especially President Nicolás Maduro Moros, for such a transcendent victory with the certainty that, today more than ever, at the head of the revolutionary Government of Venezuela, he will continue to make invaluable contributions to the process of uniting Our America, to the most precious dream for Simón Bolívar, Fidel Castro and Hugo Chávez.
